It's Sheep We're Up Against.

M2B =) days 368 - 372.  Monday, February 7th - Friday, February 11th.

Monday, February 7th happiness:  Today's picture is not mine.  I didn't take it.  I am using my Nephew Michael's picture.  I was at my mom's this afternoon and I saw this sitting on her table:
I thought it was such a cool photo.  Michael said that he took the photo using fruit from out in the orchard.  I just really, really liked it, so he said I could have it.  Isn't he awesome?

Tuesday, February 8th happiness:  I only took one photo today.  Right after I took it, my battery died.  We were at my mom's (of course).

Today I am happy that I have so much family living near by.  I am happy that my son always has a cousin available to hang out with.  He gets lonely at home sometimes.  It's nice that friends are always a 5 minute drive away.  Plus my mom is so awesome that everyone just wants to hang out at her house all of the time.

Wednesday, February 9th happiness:  My pictures of Ben on the trampoline:

Did you know that Ben is amazing?  He can lean really far back and not loose his balance. =)
And he can float!  (I wish I knew this during one of Joe's magic phases.  They could have put on a great magic show together).

I added this one because I love Ben's face in the photo. =)

Thursday, February 10th happiness:  Today was a half day at school, which means that I was home by noon!  Woo hoo!  I had 4 whole hours to myself today.  I can't remember the last time that has happened.  4 hours with no one asking me to do anything for them.  I enjoyed every second of it.  I got to read today and I worked on a puzzle.  Yeah, I spent my time wisely!

Friday, February 11th happiness:  Sheep baby!  The sheep are back.  I love seeing the sheep.  They make me happy.  The first time I drove by, I wasn't prepared.  My camera was in my bag, and I did not have time to fish it out.  So, after school, I made it a point to have my camera on the seat, already turned on, with the lens off, so that when I drove by, I could just stick it out the window and take a quick picture.

So, as I drove by, I just stuck my camera out as far as I could toward the sheep, and clicked the button.  I didn't even look through the lens to see what I was taking.  So, when I got home and uploaded the pictures on my computer, I was surprised to see this:
The sheep were saying "Hi" to me too!  Love it!

10 happy days

M2B =) days 358 - 367  Friday, January 28th - Sunday, February 6th.

Friday, January 28th happiness:  Dear 5 hour energy, Nyquil, and Brian.  I would not have made it through this day without you.  Thank you!

Saturday, January 29th happiness:  What makes you happy when you are sick?
That's what!  Thanks Brian.  He brought me home a half gallon of my very favorite ice cream today!

Sunday, January 30th happiness:  Tortellini with roasted red pepper sauce for lunch, and a bacon burger with provolone and poblano peppers for dinner.  Brian takes really good care of me when I am sick.  Either that, or he wants me to weigh 500 pounds.

Also, here is a picture of Joe:

I love this kid!

Monday, January 31st happiness:  Feeling better today - yeah!  Tonight I went for a walk/run.  I needed it.  I never feel like going, but I always feel so much better after I do.  Can I say how much I love my ipod and music.  Music keeps me going like nothing else.

Tuesday, February 1st happiness:  The weather is cooling.  I can just feel it.  Tonight when I left my mom's it was cooler and breezy.  I am so excited.
also, I watched Chuck tonight with Brian.  Good times.

Wednesday, February 2nd happiness:  This was the temperature when I got out of school today at 3:15.  44 degrees at 3:15 in the afternoon is virtually unheard of here in Arizona.  This made me very, very happy today!
Also today, we had a fire tonight and I watched American Idol with my 2 favorite guys.  Not a bad way to spend an evening.

Thursday, February 3rd happiness:  So, Joe has been sick.  Brian took him to the doctor yesterday.  He had a temperature and the flu.  The doctor said no school for the next 72 hours.  So today after school, I went and picked up some of his homework for him to do.  He MUST be bored, because as soon as I brought it, he started right on it.  I told him it was a miracle, and that I must take a picture of my son doing his homework without being asked.

This is the photo I got:
Also today's happiness includes a little bit of hope.   I found a website today that gave me a lot of information I was looking for regarding some health issues I have been having.  It was such a relief to find.

Saturday, February 5th happiness:  Went shopping with Brian today.  We hit IKEA for more of my kitchen set.  I love my dishes.

Sunday, February 6th happiness:  Joe and I went to Sheri's house after church today.  Joe watched the super bowl with the guys.

I hung out with my sister and did a puzzle.  It was waaaaay better than watching football.
I have the best sister in the world.  She is awesome.  I especially appreciate her lately for listening to me every time I need a good cry, and for telling me I am not crazy (even though I am).
This is the puzzle we did. =)
At 7:00 we headed down to my mom and dad's house for FHE.  Since it was my dad's birthday recently, my mom had each of us write down a story, or memory, or something we love about dad.  We then took turns reading ours, and then making a link in a chain, that we later gave to him.
It was fun to reminisce about all the funny dad stories.  He is such a great guy.  I couldn't have asked for a better dad.

Today was a great day!

January happiness

M2B =) days 348 - 357.  Tuesday, January 18th - Thursday, January 27th.

Tuesday, January 18th happiness:  Tonight I learned a new card game.
My mom and dad taught it to me.  I love it.  I want to play all of the time now.
Wednesday, January 19th happiness:  Tonight for mutual we made hair bows and picture frames with all of the girls.

I always forget how much I love doing crafts (who has time anymore)?  It was fun.  I think I am going to add a red heart and make it a valentines frame.
Thursday, January 20th happiness:  Can I just say how much I LOVE having the Sirius Satellite Radio in this rental car?  Today I heard "American Pie", Echo and the Bunnymen, The Smithereens, New Order, The Cure, and The Smiths.  I love having New Wave to listen to all of the time.

Friday, January 21st happiness:  Today after school, Joe and I went to hang out at my mom's.  Stacy was doing a puzzle.  I LOVE puzzles.  I haven't done one forever.  She let me work on it with her.  I was in puzzle heaven.  It was fabulous.

Saturday, January 22nd happiness:  Brian and I went out to lunch.
It was so, so, so, so good.

Then, we picked up the boy and went to a movie.
I am kind of wishing Brian and I had seen this first, before we decided to let Joe go.  Even though there was a lot of funny parts, there was a lot of bad language and humor in it.  Oh well.

Tonight Joe and I watched American Idol together.  I love that he will watch with me.

Sunday, January 23rd happiness:  Happy Birthday Dad!  We went to see my dad tonight for his birthday.  There was a super cute girl there monopolizing all of his attention.
She sure loves her grandpa.

I was happy that I got to see the kiddo's.

Monday, January 24th happiness:  This day has been marked on the calendar for a while now.  Tonight was the Guster concert.

This is Joe's 2nd concert.  He was super excited.  Sheri, Ian, Adam, Dallin, Joe, Brian and I made the trek down to Tucson to see Guster at the Rialto Theater.  I wanted to take a group photo, but Sheri was in a hurry to leave, so I only got to snap this one.
It was such a fantastic night.  The opening band was one I had never heard of before - Good Old War.  They were amazing.  They reminded me of a bluesy Simon and Garfunkle.  Good stuff.  We bought the cd's and even got them signed by the lead singer.

Then, it was time for Guster.  I loved every single minute of it!  They sang a bunch of their old songs, including 2 of my favorites that they didn't sing the last time around.

Tuesday, January 25th:  I was so so so tired today.  We didn't get back from the concert until 1:00 a.m. last night.  It was well worth the tiredness I felt today.  I've been singing Guster songs in my head all day!

Wednesday, January 26th happiness:  Free lunch today!  The principal at our school grilled us hotdogs and hamburgers for lunch today.  She set up picnic tables out back and we all got to sit outside and eat, and chat and enjoy the beautiful day.  Free food always makes me happy.

Thursday, January 27th:  Sick again!  I am not kidding.  This is getting ridiculous.  It seems like I have been sick every other weekend.  Pneumonia and Bronchitis have been making the rounds at school, along with the flu and every other sickness that is out there, it seems.  While I don't think I had Pneumonia, I sure had some kind of massive cold.

My happiness today was my pillow and my bed.  I thought about going back to bed all day long.
Finally, at 7:00 p.m. I was out for the night!

So, that's it for now.

Happy Day!

Cats and cookies and cars...

M2B =) days 337 - 347.  Friday, January 7th -  Monday, January 17th.

Friday, January 7th happiness:  So, apparently the downside of working at a school, is that you will catch every single illness that comes along.  I have never been more sick than I have been in the last 6 months.  I love my job, but I am starting to wonder if it is worth it.

I came home today and went straight to bed.  On a happy note, I did have a couple of cute bed buddies to keep me company.
Bob looks kind of ticked that I woke him up to take his picture.

Saturday, January 8th happiness:  I spent the entire day in bed.  Luckily, they were showing re-runs of Firefly all day long.  Can I just say how much I love Nathan Filli0n?
Sunday, January 9th happiness:  I had to call for a sub for my class today at the last minute.  It's nice to know that there are people out there who are not only willing, but happy to help out at the last minute.  I really appreciated it.

Monday, January 10th happiness:  Last week for lunches, I either went home or went out.  Before that was winter break.  Today, I packed a lunch and ate in the staff room.  I forgot how much I like hanging out with the ladies who have the same lunch time.  It was nice to sit, and talk and laugh and relax.  There really are some great people who I get to work with.

Tuesday, January 11th happiness:  I take Max and Ben home from school on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.  As I drive past my parents house I get to see this pine tree.  I love it so much.  It reminds me of my dad.

When we were younger, at Christmas time, my dad made sure we always had a real Christmas tree.  They make your house smell just heavenly.  The frustration with a real tree, is that you can't keep them up very long.  They die and the needles fall off.  So, one year my dad decided to get a real tree that was still in a bucket, roots and all.  The idea was to use it for Christmas, and it would last longer because it was alive, and then we could plant it afterwards.

The problem was, that it didn't look like the trees we usually got, and it was kind of smaller in size.  We gave my dad such a hard time about that tree (sorry).  He finally got sick of us complaining about it.  He got a whole new Christmas tree (like the kind we were used to), and he ended up planting this one in the far edge of the yard.

Over the years it has gotten just huge.  I love it so much.  It reminds me that I have a really great dad.  One that tries to do all he can to make his family happy.  He does a good job.

I drive by this tree all the time, and EVERY time, I think of that story and how great my dad is.

Wednesday, January 12th happiness:  Tonight was mutual.  It was a combined activity - all of the young men and young women together.  We met at the park for 'night games'.  They played capture the flag, kick the can, and fugitive.

One of the girls twisted her ankle so a few of the leaders were sitting out with her.  Joe also decided that he wasn't going to play capture the flag, so he was sitting out too.  We were at the picnic tables, just hanging out and talking.

We spotted a cat in the parking lot, and for whatever reason, Joe decided to chase it.  He got up from the table and ran so fast.  He chased it long and far - all over that parking lot.  I could not stop laughing.  He totally caught me by surprise.  I have never seen him run that fast in my whole life.  I didn't know he had it in him.

Thursday, January 13th happiness:  Tonight Joe and I played wii sports.  I totally beat him at bowling.  When Brian came home, he joined in too.
Good times.

This was Joe's character he made.  Remind you of anyone?

Friday, January 14th happiness:  Tonight I was telling Brian a story about something the kids were learning about in math class.  Joe made the comment that their math was soooo easy.  Anyone could do it.  I reminded him that they are 3rd graders and he is in 8th grade.  So then I asked him what he learned in math today.  His answer:  "We did math things, and problem stuff".

Also tonight.  I had a crazy craving for Sheri's chocolate chip cookies.  Luckily I have an awesome sister.  I called her up, and sure enough, she had some in her freezer.  I can't even tell you how much that made my day.  I rushed right over and got me some.  Thanks Sheri!

Saturday, January 15th happiness:  Lunch at Paradise Bakery with Brian.

Sunday, January 16th happiness:  My happiness today was that Brian made both lunch and dinner.  Woo hoo!  Thanks Brian.

Monday, January 17th happiness:  Chloe (our car) is in the shop.  The hood is being re-painted.  We got a rental.
I love Chloe, don't get me wrong, but I am super loving this car!   I may just want to keep it.

Also today - No School!  woo hoo!  Joe and I spent the afternoon at my mom's.  Stacy and I did a puzzle for a long time.  I was in puzzle heaven.  Good times.

That's it for now.

Happy Day!
