12 happy days

M2B =) days 443 - 454.  Saturday, April 23 - Wednesday, May 4th.

Since May is nearly over, I figured I better finish up April.  This month has been killer and has put me way behind.  So, here goes:

Saturday, April 23rd happiness:  Easter picnic at my mom's today.  I took a ton of photos of course, but I'm only showing 2.  Joe found his dollar egg.  Yay!
Me and Joe!  When did he get so tall?
Sunday, April 24th happiness:  Easter picnic #2.  This one was at Brian's parents house.  Instead of showing you the photo of Brian laying on the floor after he ate too much,  I will show this one of "D" instead.  I didn't take too many photos today, so this is what you get:
Monday, April 25th happiness:  Guess what we did for family fun night?
Tuesday, April 26th happiness:  Elmer's for dinner.  Oh how I love you Elmer's.

Wednesday, April 27th happiness:  Early release at school today.  This means that I had 1 whole hour of uninterrupted reading time before I had to pick up Joe.  Current read:
I am really enjoying this one.

Thursday, April 28th happiness:  These are in Laura's front yard.  They are beautiful and make me happy.
Also, I got new glasses today.  Woo hoo!  Thank you Jared.  Lastly, I was supposed to go to book club tonight, but instead I stayed home and studied Spanish with Joe.  I found out he is having a test tomorrow, and Spanish is something he struggles with.  So, instead of book club, we studied some Spanish together.  I really missed book club, but I actually like studying with Joe, so it wasn't too bad of a trade off.

Friday, April 29th happiness:  I took the day of school today.  It was nice to have a day to myself.

Saturday, April 30th:  Brian and I "had a day" today.  We went out and about.  I got some new shoes.  While we were out, we saw this:
Tell me what is wrong with that picture!  Hmmmm......Free Food.......Empty pet carrier.......NO THANKS!

Sunday, May 1st happiness:  Joe, Brian and I hung out on the patio for a while after church.  I know I've said it before, but I love having a back yard.

Monday, May 2nd:  Family fun night!
Tuesday, May 3rd happiness:  I got to hang out with these kiddos!
It's hard to be unhappy around kids.

Wednesday, May 4th happiness:  This week is teacher appreciation week at our school.  My kids made me this:
I love it.

That's it for now.

Happy Day!

M2B =) days 440 - 442.  Wednesday, April 20th - Friday, April 22nd.

I can't believe I am nearly a month behind again!  That is what happens when the month of May is keeping me incredibly busy.

Wednesday, April 20th happiness:  Zoo field trip.  Woo hoo!  I love the zoo, and it has been a couple of years since I have been.

I love the tortoises.  We caught them at feeding time.  The little bunnies kept hopping through and stealing their carrots.  This is my photo of the tortoise and the hare:
I love seeing all the animals.

Thursday, April 21st happiness:  Steve and Elise AND Chris and Merilee were visiting this week from out of town.  So, of course, a bunch of us got together and we went to Oregano's.  Then it was back to Sheri's for games.   What a fun night.
Friday, April 22nd happiness:  No School - woo hoo!  Sheri and I got our kids together and colored Easter eggs.  I always boil a bunch of eggs, so I can share.  This is who I shared my eggs with:
He was super excited to be coloring eggs.  Kids make everything more fun.  Josh kept cracking me up.  He would hold the egg up to his nose, close his eyes and then smell the egg.

I asked him, "How does it smell?"

He answered, "Delightful".
Later, he was showing his egg to Sheri.  He was smiling and petting it.  This photo cracks me up.  It makes me think of Golem ..... "my precious".
Joe would rather do this than color eggs this year.  I think he colored maybe 3 of his eggs.  That's ok though.  Josh was more than happy to help us get all of the eggs dyed.
Later on we went to Alex's birthday party.  I loved watching the kids ice block.  Joe is so tall, he had to use 2 blocks of ice.  One for his behind and one for his feet.
They decided they wanted to try doing a train.  It didn't end well, but they sure had fun.
Xander tried it superman style.

Ben went down backwards.

A good time was had by all.

Happy Day.

Books, Burgers and Brownies...

M2B =) days 431 - 439.  Monday, April 11th - Monday, April 18th.

Monday, April 11th happiness:  After watching the movie, I decided I need to go back and read the book again.  So far, so good!
Tuesday, April 12th happiness:  Bubba Burgers, I love you so!
Wednesday, April 13th happiness:  combined activity tonight for mutual.  They played dodgeball.  It was fun to see Joe actually participate in an activity.  He has a great arm!

Thursday, April 14th happiness:  I had a dr. appointment in Scottsdale this afternoon.  No, that was not my happiness for the day.  What was happy was the drive home.  Speeding down the freeway, windows down, radio up - good stuff!

Friday, April 15th happiness:  Family movie night.  Tonight's movie:
I love it!

Saturday, April 16th happiness:  Today, I re-discovered Old Navy (or "Old Maybe" as Joe used to call it).  I used to shop there all of the time, but I literally haven't been in years.  I had a gift card left over from Christmas, so I decided to use it.  Brian and I went.  They had tons of t-shirts for like $10.00.  Why did I ever stop shopping here?
Sunday, April 17th happiness:  Joe made dinner tonight.  I helped, but he really did do most of it.
The best part was that it was totally HIS idea.  He volunteered!

Monday, April 18th happiness:  Joe made dinner AGAIN!  I like this new trend.  Also tonight, we started a new tradition -family fun night!  We usually have our Family Home Evenings on Sunday night, but because we get out of church late, we usually just do song, prayer and a lesson.  So, we (I) decided we needed to have a family fun night.  I picked the activity tonight:
It was a lot of fun.

Tuesday, April 19th happiness:  I have the best sister ever!
She made these brownies for some friends who were visiting from out of town.  I managed to convince her to make some for me too.  Cream cheese brownies.  Yum!  Thanks Sheri!

That's it for now.

Happy Day!
