Fall is here and so is the peppermint ice cream.
Yesterday was the first day of Fall (I always thought it was the 21st, but I was told by several people that is was yesterday, so what do I know?). And you know what? It actually felt a little fall-ish. For Arizona, that is. Now, I'm not saying that it was nice and cool and crisp as you imagine Fall might be, but it was also not as hot as an oven. I did not feel like I was being slowly roasted when I walked outside. In fact, there was a little bit of a breeze going all day. It was a nice change.
Also, on a happy note - Brian went on an ice cream run last night and came home with peppermint ice cream - woo hoo! I am still in mourning for Shamrock Farms Peppermint - why they stopped making it, I will never know. But, the Breyers Peppermint was a fine substitute. It was yum!
I didn't have any photo's, so I thought I'd add a little color to make it fun. Aren't I thoughtful?
Lastly, how sad is it that I don't update for 2 weeks and when I do, it's about ice cream. Now you all know where my priorities lie.

Hey, I for one think ice cream is a very important priority in life!
As much as I love summer, I am so looking forward to Christmas that I am also excited about the arrival of fall (or what we call fall in the valley.)
It looks like we have the same priorities...
Today felt nice. Too bad it's going to be 102 degrees on Saturday, when we have an 11 and 12 soccer games. Let the sweating begin!
it's me not Alex. Sheez.
Idaho would be so perfect for you, Kim
Don't I know it. Idaho, Colorado, Oregon. Any place with pretty trees that isn't so freakin' hot.
Eight days till San Diego and 44 days till I put up the Christmas tree. Yes, you all read that right!! I am putting the tree up the first Saturday in November (well, Kim is) and it's going to be freakin' awesome!!
Way to go Brian! I hope I can talk Stuart into putting the Christmas trees up early this year! The season is just too short.
Hold on now Teresa!!! Something we agree on??? The end of the world must be close at hand...
Peppermint ice cream is my favorite ice cream too and I hate that I can't have it all year long - it is worth blogging about.
Truth be told, I actually agree with most of what you say Brian, but where is the fun in that?
Just got back from "camping" in the woods up around Heber. Ahhh...perfect weather. I did NOT want to come home!!
Teresa, I agree, where is the fun in that? Crap, now I will just think that everything you say is a lie! Hahaha
